• About Sport Environment

Sport Environment was founded by professional yachtsman, Conrad Humphreys in 2001. From the very beginning, our focus has been on helping people transform their organisations using sport as a catalyst for change. We’ve worked with some amazing people and brands along the way, helping them to connect with new audiences through experiences.

“We worked with Sport Environment during our “feel good” campaign. The Blue Mile was an excellent brand fit for Ecover with it’s message about caring for the environment and feeling good about getting active”

People Engagement

When Motorola turned to us to create a programme that would inspire their leadership team based around an ocean race we knew we’d found our DNA. Combining real life stories from the BT Global Challenge with different leadership scenarios in a fun and experimental way proved to be a formula that would lead onto their involvement in a series of major global events around the world.

Since the time, we have worked with some of the greatest innovators, sports teams and business leaders to shape our thinking around leadership. We’ve had the chance to put it into practice in some of the harshest environments. We call it Six Sense Leadership.

Brand Engagement

When three ex-Motorola employees founded Bullitt Group in 2009 they wanted to disrupt the mobile phone industry with a rugged smart phone that wouldn’t break. They wanted to tell their story and drive engagement with industries that rely on mission critical technology. A new ground breaking partnership with the GC32 inaugural series was the solution.

“The most important brands in the world make us feel something. They do that because they have something they want to change and as customers, we want to be part of that change too. These companies have a reason to exist over and above making profit: They have a Purpose.”  David Hieatt, Do Lectures

Consultancy

When Plymouth City Council put out a tender for someone to re-imagine the Mount Batten Watersports Centre, we answered the call. Working alongside award winning architects, ADG, the marine engineers, Aecom and the commercial team from JLL, we developed a new vision and business model for the Centre.

It’s rare that we simply consult on projects, for the simple reason that when we are engaged we like to commit and get some skin in the game. However, if what you need is an arms length approach we can work this way as well. You’ll still get the same energy as we enjoy collaborating with organisations that share a real sense of purpose.

Television & Media

When Windfall Films agreed with Channel 4 to recreate the incredible journey of Lieutenant Bligh’s 4000 mile open boat voyage, Mutiny, they turned to Sport Environment. Initially we consulted on the production, working with the team on the safety protocols for the voyage, the crew training and the commercial coding of Bounty’s End. Once the crew were cast, Channel 4 agreed that professional skipper, Conrad Humphreys would be onboard as the sailing master with overall responsibility.

We also write features for a number of leading outdoor magazines

Event management

We see event management as the sum of all the parts. Like an orchestra playing, there are some moments of solo brilliance, but when coordinated, the whole piece can have a huge impact on everyone taking part. We’ve been involved in a number of major events since 2000 and the best ones share a real sense of purpose, uniting people for a cause.
